Configuring Netscape e-mail for your PC running Windows

If you are using Netscape 6.x, click here for set-up instructions. If you are using any other Netscape version, continue on with this page.
  1. Load Netscape.
  2. Click on Edit, then select Preferences.

  3. Under the category block:
    1. Click on the + beside Mail & Newsgroups.
    2. Select Identity.
    3. Under your name: Type in the name you want the receiving person to see. (EX. Jon Doe)
    4. Under e-mail address: Type in your e-mail address. (EX. jdoe@dejazzd.com)

  4. Under the category block:
    1. Click on the “+” beside Mail & Newsgroups (If not already clicked).
    2. Select Mail Servers.
    3. Under incoming mail server, delete ALL entries.
  5. Adding a new Mail Server:
    1. Select Add.
    2. Under the General tab.
      1. Type in your Server Name: pop.dejazzd.com.
      2. Server type: POP3 Server (NOT IMAP)
      3. User Name: EX. jdoe.dejazzd.com.
        Note: New customers & converted users as of January 3, 2006 ,use @dejazzd.com. Users in Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg areas, use .dejazzd.com; in all other areas, use @dejazzd.com.)

      4. Select "OK."
    3. Under the Outgoing Mail Server,
      1. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: type in "smtp.dejazzd.com"
      2. In the Outgoing mail server User Name: type in your username. (EX: jdoe.dejazzd.com)
        (Note: New customers & converted users as of January 3, 2006, use @dejazzd.com. Users in Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg areas, use .dejazzd.com; in all other areas, use @dejazzd.com.)
