Setting up Mozilla Mail

1. This is the main window for Mozilla

   

2. To access e-mail in Mozilla, Click on the Window menu, and select Mail & Newsgroups

   

3. To view mail account settings in Mozilla mail, click on the Edit menu, and select Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings

   

4. In the Mail settings window, highlight your e-mail address to view your contact information which can be changed.
   
   If your email address isn't listed here, jump down to step 7.
   

   

5. In the Mail settings window highlight “Server Settings” to change your incoming mail server, and incoming server username. The incoming mail server is pop.dejazzd.com , and your username should be in the “.dejazzd.com” or “@dejazzd.com” format.
   (Note: New customers & converted users as of January 3, 2006 use @dejazzd.com, users in Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg areas use .dejazzd.com, and all other area users use @dejazzd.com)
6. To edit the outgoing server settings highlight “Outgoing Server (SMTP)” The outgoing server should be set to smtp.dejazzd.com . You will want to check the box that says “Use name and password”. Your username should be in the “.dejazzd.com” or “@dejazzd.com” format.
   
   Note: New customers & converted users as of January 3, 2006 use @dejazzd.com, users in Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg areas use .dejazzd.com, and all other area users use @dejazzd.com)

   

7. When setting up a new account click the Add Account button. That will open up the New Account Wizard.
   
   NOTE: You must have a valid e-mail account before you set this up. If you have not set one up through the Jazzd Members Section please do so first.

   

8. The first window of the account wizard will appear. Select E-mail account, and click Next.

   

9. Enter your name, and e-mail address, and click Next.

   

10. In the server information window select POP. The incoming server will be pop.dejazzd.com. The outgoing server will be smtp.dejazzd.com. Once these items have been entered click Next.

    

11. The next window will ask you for your username information. Your username should be in the “.dejazzd.com” or “@dejazzd.com” format.

12. The account name will automatically appear as your e-mail address usually. This is acceptable. Click Next.

    

13. You will now see a window asking you to verify your settings. If they are correct simply click Finish to complete the process.
