Online auctions are becoming increasingly popular as a way to buying and selling goods on the Internet.  More...

Since eBay began, there are many more options for small retailers who don't have their own web sites. We've put together a list of leading sites, as well as some information on buying and selling via auction sites on the Internet.

Buying:

Most people’s first online auction experience is purchasing something from a dealer site.

After you’ve found what you’re looking for, the next thing to consider is how do you want to pay for it? Most sellers accept money orders or personal checks. However, you can expect to add at least a week to your delivery time while the retailer waits for your check to arrive and clear. You may want to consider a leading payment tool such as PayPal. Payment processing will be quicker, so you’ll receive the items sooner and reputable sites will have appropriate security encoding to keep your financial information safe.
