D&E Communications Launches New 24-Hour D&E AccuWeather Channel
Local AccuWeather Channel Launched in Time for Penn State Students' "Back to School" Weather
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. August 22, 2008 - D&E Communications, Inc. (D&E) (Nasdaq: DECC), a leading provider of integrated communications solutions in central and eastern Pennsylvania, and global weather forecasting company AccuWeather.com today announced the launch of the D&E AccuWeather Channel in State College, Pennsylvania. The channel will feature continuous around-the-clock local weather coverage as well as national forecasts, regional forecasts and breaking weather news provided by AccuWeather.com.
State College is the hub of weather activity and now the D&E AccuWeather Channel gives Penn State football fans a local resource for the latest weather updates for their game day festivities. Deciding what to wear to class or to the game just got a lot easier.
