(November 3, 2006) - D&E Communications (NASDAQ: DECC), a leading integrated communications provider in eastern and central Pennsylvania, announced today that Richard Bejtlich of Tao Security will be the keynote speaker for their November 9, 2006 Webinar entitled, Are You Really Secure? Lessons from the Real World -The Inside Job. The Webinar will focus on internal threats to a company's IT infrastructure and sensitive data.

Formally trained as an intelligence officer, Bejtlich is a graduate of Harvard University and the United States Air Force Academy. He authored the critically acclaimed Tao of Network Security Monitoring: Beyond Intrusion Detection in 2004 and Extrusion Detection: Security Monitoring for Internal Intrusions in 2005. Bejtlich is founder of TaoSecurity (www.taosecurity.com), a company that helps clients detect, contain, and remediate intrusions using network security monitoring principles.
